4 MembersKorean Graduate Students Association (KGSA)
Organization Profile
Korean Graduate Students Association (KGSA) at Brown University seeks to bring together graduate students of Korean descent for the mutual benefit of all involved. KGSA welcomes participation by individuals of Korean descent (full or partial), inclusive of all citizenship status, religion, gender, sexual and ideological orientation. KGSA functions as a social organization as well as a service mechanism. For instance, KGSA provides needed services for international graduate students from Korea -- such as finding housing and connecting them to various American services. In this, KGSA sees itself as also aiding in Brown University's efforts to service the international graduate student population. Furthermore, KGSA actively supports the Graduate Minority Student Association (GMSA) at Brown University, which is the official umbrella organization at Brown representing all minority graduate students. KGSA's interests extend beyond the minority community at Brown. KGSA also seeks to share Korean history, culture, experience with the larger Brown University community in the belief that the Korean communities in America (such as KGSA at Brown University) have and are continuing to contribute positively to the American society.
