Organization Profile
The Hourglass Cafe is a non-profit, student-run cafe in the basement of Faunce House. We serve a variety of coffee drinks as well as tea, hot chocolate, chai, and baked goods. We offer only fairly-traded coffee and espresso, and we procure our baked goods from the bakeshop at Brown Dining Services. In addition, we donate our proceeds to Oxfam America, an NGO working to fight poverty, hunger, and social injustice around the world. The Cafe is open Tuesday through Thursday, 7pm to 11pm. We host weekly student performances and events. We also function as an ideal place for group meetings, studying, or socializing.
